唐 7世紀或8世紀 中國
Height: 39 cm, 15.4 inches
高39釐米
The unglazed head is modelled in the style of white marble sculpture of the period, her hair tied up into an elaborate knot on the top of her head. She is seated upon a circular double cone stool on a rectangular base, her left hand placed upon her left knee and holding a scarf; her right arm at right angles, holding a lotus flower in front of her chest.
The lady wears a long dress tied up high by a belt, and her shoulders are covered by a shawl. On her feet she wears elaborate curled shoes; a simple beaded, unglazed necklace adorns her neck. The glaze is in brilliant condition all over the figure.
