An inlaid shibuichi kigo of rectangular form, the cover with an oval panel depicting shichifukujin (the seven lucky gods). The sides with scattered Takaramono (treasures). All worked in gold and silver nunome-zogan and hira-zogan.
This simple but sophisticated ninome-zogan work is of the artist in Tokyo, probably influenced by Kajima Ikkoku I, whose koro and cover with elaborate nunome-zogan belongs to the Imperial House Collection. Signed Kosai.
